Gympie is located less than 2 hours (160km) north of Brisbane on the Bruce highway (Highway 1)
Rainbow Beach can be accessed along a sealed road from Gympie or Maryborough. Allow 3 hours to get to Rainbow Beach from Brisbane.

Gympie Airport is located south of the city at Kybong. There are small air strips located at Rainbow Beach and Tin Can Bay
By Coach
Major Coach Companies service Gympie, Tin Can Bay and Rainbow Beach daily from Brisbane. Polleys Coaches also operate a local service Monday to Friday from Gympie t o the Cooloola Coast.
By Rail
Queensland Rail has regular services originating from Brisbane, Rockhampton aand Cairns into Gympie North Station. Each service is met by the Train Link Bus service to transfer passengers to Gympie’s CBD.
By Sea
Marina facilities are available at Tin Can Bay and Rainbow Beach via the Great Sandy Straights or the Wide Bay Bar.
